The Polish prime minister says his country and the United States have reached an agreement that will see a battery of American missiles installed inside Poland.
Donald Tusk told a Polish television station that the United States agreed to help improve Poland's defensive capabilities in exchange for placing 10 missile defence interceptors on its territory. This comes after more than 18 months of negotiations between the two countries. The US plan to build a missile defence shield in Poland and the Czech Republic has been strongly opposed by Russia.
