Syria and Lebanon have agreed to resume work on clarifying their disputed border, according to a joint statement issued by the countries' foreign ministers in Damascus on Thursday.
It also declared that both sides had agreed to examine the fate of hundreds of people who have been missing since Lebanon's civil war. The announcement comes as Lebanese President Michel Suleiman wrapped up an historic two-day visit to Syria. On Wednesday, Sulemain and his Syrian counterpart Bashar al-Assad agreed to establish diplomatic ties and exchange ambassadors.
