The African conference in Cairo was weak apart from the Kenyan prime minister who put the boot into Mugabe. Kenya was a different circumstance and the German model used in Kenya was appropriate. Why is Germany doing what Great Britain should be been doing as the former colonial power in Zimbabwe? Gordon Brown and his government should have done a lot more. your efforts in Africa compared to Great Britain in recent times.
-- Stuart John Pearson, Australia Mugabe must go and leave Zimbabweans alone. We are hard workers and he is destroying our country. Mugabe is not a Zimbabwean and must go back to his home country (Malawi). He has caused too much suffering for the Zimbabwean people.

Assisted suicide in Germany
I believe everyone has the right to die if he/she so decides. If someone tries to stop you from ending your life it means you are condemned to live and no longer own the right to live. Reagan monument in Berlin
The effort to erect a monument to Ronald Reagan in Berlin would just be another step in the political canonization of the former president by the failed neo-conservatives in the US. The Europeans finally solved the problems of the Berlin Wall and Reagan doesn't deserve a monument there. Perhaps one dedicated to the soldiers who stood guard would be more appropriate.
-- Bruce Peebles, US
I think that Reagan was a good president but for me it sounds a bit strange to put up a memorial to him in Berlin just because he made a speech there. At the same time I think that they should take down the oversized bust of Marx in Chemnitz. --
